The Astrology Academy of India (“we”, “us”, “our”, or “the Academy”) operates the website https://hindastro.com/, the enrolment sub-site https://courses.hindastro.com/, and any related pages, forms, and online course portals we run (together, the “Service”).

This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect from you, why we collect it, how we use and protect it, who we share it with, and the choices and rights available to you.

We are established in New Delhi, India. This Policy is issued in accordance with the Information Technology Act, 2000, the Information Technology (Reasonable Security Practices and Procedures and Sensitive Personal Data or Information) Rules, 2011, and the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (DPDP Act).

Astrological and consultation information

Because of the nature of our work, we may collect:

• Date of birth, exact time of birth, and place of birth
• Birth charts (kundli), horoscopes, and any charts you upload or share
• Photographs of your palm, face, or property layout where you have submitted them for a Palmistry, Face Reading, or Vastu exercise
• Questions and personal circumstances you choose to describe during a consultation, a practical class, or a case study

We treat this category of information as confidential. We collect it only when you voluntarily provide it, we use it only to teach you, to prepare a chart or reading you have asked for, or to run the class you are attending, and we do not sell it, publish it, or share it for advertising.

Payment information We do not store or process your card, UPI, or bank details on our own servers. Payments are handled by third-party payment gateways CC Avenue who are PCI-DSS compliant. We receive only a confirmation of payment, the amount, and a transaction reference.

When you browse the Service we may automatically collect:

• Pages viewed, time spent, links clicked, and referring website

5. How we contact you, and how to stop it

If you submit an enquiry form or enrol with us, you consent to being contacted by our admissions team by phone call, SMS, WhatsApp, and email regarding the course you enquired about — even if your number is registered on the National Do Not Call Registry / DND list, for the limited purpose of responding to your enquiry.

You can stop this at any time:

• WhatsApp: reply STOP to any message from us, or block the number
• Calls and SMS: tell our admissions team on a call, or email us

Once you withdraw consent, we will stop marketing contact. We may still send you essential messages about a course you are enrolled in.

6. When we share your information

We do not sell or rent your personal data.

We share information only in these situations:

Certificate verification: if you complete a course and receive a certificate, your name, course, enrolment number, and year of completion may be displayed on our student verification page so employers and clients can confirm your credential. Tell us in writing if you do not want your record shown there.

Legal and safety: where we are required to disclose by law, court order, or a lawful request from a government or law enforcement agency, or where disclosure is necessary to protect our rights, property, or the safety of our students, faculty, or the public.

Business transfer: if the Academy is merged, acquired, or restructured, records may transfer to the successor entity, which will remain bound by this Policy.

7. Data storage, transfer, and retention

Your data is stored on servers located in [India / country where your host’s servers are — check with your hosting provider]. Some of our service providers (for example Google and Meta) process data on servers outside India. Where that happens, we take reasonable steps to ensure comparable protection.

• Erasure — ask us to delete your personal data, where we are not required by law to retain it
• Withdraw consent — at any time, as easily as you gave it
• Grievance redressal — raise a complaint with our Grievance Officer
• Nominate — nominate another person to exercise these rights on your behalf in the event of your death or incapacity

Our courses and consultations are intended for persons aged 18 and above.

We do not knowingly collect personal data from a child under 18 without verifiable consent from a parent or legal guardian. Where a person under 18 wishes to enrol, we require the parent or guardian to complete the enrolment and provide consent on the child’s behalf. We do not undertake tracking, behavioural monitoring, or targeted advertising directed at children.

If you believe a child has given us personal data without parental consent, contact us, and we will delete it.

The Service contains links to third-party websites and social media pages, including Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, and WhatsApp. We do not control those sites and are not responsible for their content or privacy practices. Please review their policies before sharing information with them.

Our courses and consultations concern Vedic Astrology, Numerology, Tarot, Vastu Shastra, Palmistry, Face Reading, and Nakshatra study. Guidance offered through the Service is for educational and personal-interest purposes. It is not a substitute for professional medical, psychological, legal, or financial advice. Any personal circumstances you share with us in the course of a class or reading are kept confidential in accordance with this Policy.
